My name is Karli. I’m a Momma to two amazing kiddos who are my heart and soul. I run three small businesses, one being my preservations and I also make clean candles at Mountain Lily Collective. Additionally, I have been doing photography for over 10 years at Mountain Lily Photography.

Art and expression are my passion, both physically with all my businesses and in creating and through emotions. I’m a deep thinking, feeling kinda gal. I love nature and exploring. That’s where I find my peace.

I was led into preservations in 2022 when I lost my dad. I didn’t have much to keep his memory, I had an old shirt of his and a hand full of flowers from his arrangements. My sister and I decided we’d try to preserve them in resin after I’d been obsessively seeing it done. Although I totally did it all wrong, I still cherish that piece even with the mistakes. It sparked a fire in me to keep doing it, and here we are almost two years later. 

I understand how important these keepsakes are and how precious the meaning behind them is. Preserving is beautiful, but the memories and emotions attached to them are what really drives me. I try my best to put my heart in each piece and truly create something beautiful that can be revisited or held close whenever it’s needed. Time can be a thief, but if there’s a way to slow it down and encapsulate it- what a beautiful thing to do.
